I know, I know – when you’re coming to any city, museum are not a first place when you’re going because… they sounds boring. Personally, I love to discover museums at any country. During my studies in Kraków, I was at few, but still not at all of them. Shame. Because (most of them) are worth to visit.
Unique museum in European scale. Something like this
you can find only in Kraków.
Hangars are full of planes from various countries and different exhibition. But the most impressive is outdoor exhibition of big planes and helicopters from different times. I found also some made in my hometown!

Number one of tourists’ list of museums to visit.
Schindler’s Factory shows us a history of Second World War in Poland, step by
step. It’s interactive but in wonderful way. Rooms are designed to look like
exactly from those days. You can listen, see, touch…. the atmosphere of Nazi occupation in Poland. Sometimes it’s
sad, sometimes it’s funny, sometimes exciting. For me the best was unique and
ORIGINAL machine from that time, which showed you photos when you look inside
through small binoculars. The second thing - when you’re going through all dark corridor
with unstable floor and at the end you’re
entering to really bright room full of words on walls. Belive me – you will get
out from there as different person!
I am joking that is our Polish Hogwarts. Why? It was
the very first building (Collegium Maius) of the oldest university in Poland.
Students used to have classes there and… dormitiories! So they literally lived
there and study there at one time. Little square, interesting exhibition with
beautiful paintings.
If you want get to know history of Polish Army better –
it’s the best place. Not a lot of tourists go there, so you can be sure that
you’ll visit it without crowds.
5. Museum of Contemporary Art
I’ve never been there – YET! I heard so many good
opinions, photos and recommendations that I’ll go there in future for sure. Not
only for Culture studies’ students, belive me!
Good for children and older people, who wants to have
some fun and explore history of Krakow city. Interactive and innovative, just
right under Main Market Square – that’s the best promo of this museum.
7. Stanislaw Lem Garden of Experience
One more time – great for younger and older. Let’s
feel like a child exploring and doing experiments. Stanisław Lem was a
science-fiction writer and probably he would be proud of such outdoor museum!
It’s all for today. See you!
